The Manager Operations Learning & Developpment is responsible for the overall management of our key L&D program and operations courses nationwide.

Please note that this position is a mat teave remplacement contract. 
 

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

 Manage the development of the learning materials and programs:  

  • Supervising the development process by using the adult learning methodologies
  • Define relevant workback plans
  • Ensure proper preparation and execution of the process timeline
  • Engage and manage stakeholders (external and internal)
  • Use appropriate tools/software to develop training materials

 
Manage external vendor and consultants: 

  • Select the appropriate vendors based on the scope of the projects
  • Lead the workback plan and the delivery ETA
  • Liaise between the vendors and the SME/Stakeholders
  • Partner with other vocational schools/universities to develop customized training programs

 
Lead the continuous improvement of our learning programs and courses:

  • Collecting and analyzing feedback
  • Update the contents
  • Organise enhancement plan of the existing training material periodically 
  • Organizing information for reading

 

Manage budgets for key programs:

  • Invoicing and tracking expenses related to the development process
  • Negotiate fees with our vendors/integrators
  • Optimise the expenses

 
Lead and support a team of Content Designers and LMS coordinator to ensure the accomplishment of the established goals.

What you have to offer:

  • Bachelor degree in HR
  • Some retail experience
  • 8 years in a similar position with 3 to 5 years managing a team  
  • Strong team management and portfolio management experience
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement: understanding needs, proactive and clear communication, negotiation, influence
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills in both French and Enlglish (Knowledge of English is required, as the candidate will be expected to work closely with peers in other provinces in planning, developing and implementing processes and participating in key national strategic projects. The incumbent will also have to supervise members of her team who are based in provinces other than Quebec.)
