The Specialist will work closely with the warehouse operations and customer service team to drive business performance and support decision making on various aspects such as; labour planning and productivity forecasting,  deep dive analysis to drive optimal capacity utilization, and business case development for expansion opportunities.
 

Job Description

 

 

As the Specialist, Ops Business Intelligence you will:

 

 

  • Engage with all levels of the Voila Finance team and utilize analytical skillset to provide value added insights to business stakeholders within Warehouse Operations & Customer Service
  • Provide consultation and recommendations by highlighting impacts from a quantitative point of view. Build visual aids (i.e. charts, tables, trend analysis, etc.) to relay findings to a wide span of audiences
  • Manage complex analytical projects end-to-end from data exploration and analysis to drawing value driving insights for communication with key stakeholders
  • Automate several manual processes using VBA/Macros, SQL and/or Python to significantly reduce manual effort on reporting
  • Create, maintain and present daily, weekly and monthly decks, highlighting business and operational performance. Identify any new trends, investigate possible explanations and constantly develop new insights
  • Build various data models to assess teammate level productivity, learning curves, key drivers impacting capacity utilization to increase overall site throughput
  • Partner with various teams to lower customer contact ratio, assess call handle times and time spent on various customer service activities to provide inputs in headcount planning
  • Identify opportunities which could drive teammate productivity improvements. Undertake deep dive analysis, review Ocado benchmarks and present performance across sites to further performance and meet targeted operations KPIs
  • Work with internal product management, Ocado and IT teams to drive data availability and assess data quality for detailed data analytics for existing and new fulfillment sites. 
  • Build engaging dashboards and presentations to present data results and KPIs for key internal stakeholders
  • Drive automation of financial reporting processes and use of tools by supporting the Voila Finance team

Job Requirements

 

 

Your resume and background will show us: 

 

 

  • 5+ years of experience in an analytics, consulting or finance role
  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in business, science, computer science, economics, mathematics or statistics
  • Master’s in Data Analytics / Finance / Business Management is great-to-have
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with large datasets, both structured and unstructured data with experience in SAS, SQL, Python or related. Proficient in Excel, Macros/VBA
  • Experience in data mining and using business intelligence tools (Alteryx, Power Query, Tableau, etc.) 
  • Experience with Salesforce & Azure an asset
  • Data enthusiast with strong technical background, interpersonal and communication skills, and passion for using data analytics to solve complex problems
  • Financial knowledge with understanding P&L statements and building business analytics to identify variance and trends
  • Self-Starter with ability to thrive on a high degree of independence and ownership
  • Bilingual English and French is a good-to-have (not a requirement)
