The Senior Financial Analyst, E-Commerce is responsible for all finance activities for Voila's Supply Chain operations team including warehouse and finance business partnering, FP&A and capital management.

Job Description



As the Senior Financial Analyst you will:

Business partnering:


  • Serve as the finance business partner for warehouse operations teams across Fulfillment Center 1, Fulfillment Center 2 and future sites, providing complex financial analysis and business decision support to the E-Commerce business teams (provide analysis, guidance, and recommendations for new business activities and impacts)
  • Create financial modeling to understand implications of decisions and measure results versus model
  • Identify and drive opportunities to optimize costs for Voilà. Undertake detailed P&L review including labour, discretionary spends and all fixed cost components
  • Partner with National Supply Chain Finance to provide standardized reporting of results, budgets and forecasts that meet their reporting needs
  • Support Corporate FP&A as required for budget and forecast requests 
  • Partner with Finance Support, Warehouse Operations Management to collect information required for consolidated forecasts, budgets and variance explanations
  • Work closely with Real Estate team to support with capex management for future capital needs

Reporting and Analytics:


  • Ownership of weekly E-Commerce business review reporting pack, collating and synthesizing key analyses from all functional areas
  • Review and monitor daily, weekly, and periodic E-Commerce warehouse operations reporting and work to resolve issues
  • Build timely and accurate weekly and period analytical reports from SAP/Longview/Khalix for detailed cost reporting for distribution to Leadership team, Warehouse operations and Finance partners with value-added analysis
  • Build detailed zero-based budgets by understanding key cost drivers, undertake scenario analysis to review key risks and opportunities
  • Report consolidated results, budget, and forecast information to leadership teams. Work with business partners on action plans to mitigate any cost overages  
  • Work with Corporate FP&A and Finance Support, Operations as required on budgets and forecast consolidation
  • Support with ad hoc / any deep dive analysis to support business decision making



Job Requirements



Your Resume and Experience Will Show Us:



  • A minimum of 5 years related work experience
  • University degree MBA and/or Professional designation or working towards one (CA, CGA, CMA, CFA)
  • Bilingual (English & French) will be highly considered
  • Previous finance business partnering experience in a fast-paced environment highly desired
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP, SAPBW, SQL, Tableau, VBA/macros is an asset
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
