The Operations Planning Analyst is responsible for creation, ownership and optimization of the labour plan and managing capacity constraints of the assets (CFC stations, assets and delivery vans).

Job Description



As the Operations Planning Analyst you will:

• Own of the creation and governance of the weekly labour plan for Delivery, Shunting, CFC and Customer Service
• Analyze and plan productivity and assumptions trends attendance/attrition/vacation) to provide data driven hiring and efficiencies recommendations
• Triage questions from CFC and Delivery Leads as to labour optimization
• Be the SME in all labor plan assumptions and logic, labour plan model, and applicable systems (Kronos, CIS, etc.)
• Perform complex analysis related to building capacity constraints and provide data driven recommendations for efficiency maximization
• Understand the end to end operating clock and the resulting capacity constraints
• Monitor and track day to day changes in delivery/shunter/CFC headcount
• Optimize delivery, shunt and CFC rosters, including hiring plan by optimal shift and cross training requirements
• Create the inbound forecast using inputs from cross-functional groups
• Manage and monitor the flow of outbound orders to spokes including optimizing cube on trailers from the CFC to spokes
• Provide the business relevant, reliable and timely labour and capacity planning information including Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and appropriate variance analysis
• Support future network labour and throughput (CFC / spoke)
• Provide analytical support to Operational Planning Manager
• Communicate closely and work collaboratively with delivery, shunting, CFC, HR, replenishment and planning
• Actively identify opportunities in the business and work with team to propose changes to maximize profits for the business
• Prepare various ad-hoc reporting requests and analytical reports
• Support the preparation of data analysis, insight and recommendations, as assigned
• Provide excellent level of customer service to all levels of the business


Job Requirements



Your resume and experience will show:



  • Expert level use of Excel, VBA and Macros, and the abilty to design & develop predictive models is a mandatory requirement
  • Minimum of 5+ years directly related work experience
  • University degree,  BCommerce, Engineering Degree
  • Previous planning experience required, including but not limited to labour planning and capacity planning; integrated planning experience, planning for distribution inbound/outbound;
  • Experience in Retail/Supply Chain  preferred
