Overview

Job Description

Work with the Director Replenishment to build a national strategy and structure to best support the Company’s replenishment performance

· Manage the roll out of the demand planning process across all regions

· Provide leadership and guidance to the replenishment team and other internal stakeholders in the development and management of best-practice forecasting and inventory management processes that will meet or exceed benchmarks for customer order-fill, freshness and inventory turns

· Accountable for forecast accuracy, service level, inventory turns and shrink

· Ensure that the replenishment function meets budgeted replenishment targets and contributes to the respective region and banner strategies

· Develop reports to determine priorities and areas of opportunity and confirm/communicates results; creates ad hoc reports as necessary

· Monitor vendor performance with respect to order-fill (service levels) and on-time delivery

· Communicate opportunities to vendors and category managers for improvement (as required)

· Identify and develop opportunities for inbound freight revenue generation

Develop productive, proactive and consultative business relationships

· Ensure efficient operation of the business to achieve all financial targets and contribute to budgeted KPIs

· Implement procurement plans that incorporate strategies for product quality Work with distribution to provide them with accurate information on upcoming promotions and CFC arrival times, and total forecast shipments associated with promotions and seasonal programs

· Leverage vendor relationships to maximize direct purchases from source · Leverage the company’s regional volumes to obtain the best possible landed cost of product (fresh)

Job Requirements

· Strong Knowledge of demand forecasting principles and inventory planning

· Deep understanding of buying functions

· Ability to build and strengthen partnerships with vendors within each division

· Ability to communicate effectively with category teams and vendors

· Ability to drive results within the team

· Ability to plan the resources effectively

· Ability to work with a team

· Ability to identify operational issues and proactively drive solutions
