We are looking for a Demand Planner who will work closely with Category Managers to review forecast results and make forward-looking recommendations on opportunities in their respective category. You will also work with sourcing, category management, marketing, process optimization and go-to-market functions to understand forecasts and trends; and support testing, implementation, training, and adoption of the Ocado platform.

 

This position is based at our office located in Montreal Quebec. Shift available: Shift available: Monday to Friday (12 p.m. to 8 p.m.) or Sunday to Thursday (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

 

  • Understand the demand for respective categories
  • Manage accurate demand forecasts that incorporate current and relevant market information to predict customer demand and provide buying team with the right information to plan to meet that demand
  • Develop reports to determine priorities and areas of opportunity and confirm/communicates results; creates ad hoc reports as necessary
  • Identify forecast accuracy root causes and refine process to ensure continuous improvement of the overall process
  • Support the company’s long-term strategy and inventory reduction while maintaining high Customer 
  • Coordinate seasonal forecast and plans with merchandizing, suppliers, and distribution teams
  • Propose sales forecast based on observations, knowledge, and assessments; collaborate with partners to refine forecasts
  • Track projections and recommend appropriate action to achieve service level metrics
  • Accountable for ensuring forecast accuracy

What you have to offer:

 

  • Understanding of supply chain and business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in forecast management, statistical analysis, procurement, or logistics
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with fresh products or groceries
