- Leads and develops a high performing team, overseeing the entirety of a shift’s Inventory control activities in the Customer Fulfillment Centre (CFC).
- Approximately 20 direct team reports on shift.
- Drives team engagement, development, and retention by connecting team to the Voila vision, encouraging innovation, clear communication, and continuous feedback.
- Supports and participates in the recruitment and retention of Inventory team members.
- Provides guidance and feedback regarding performance to facilitate continuous learning and development of leaders and team members.
- Maintains a clean, collaborative, and safe work environment.
- Partners with Management to develop training content, assessments, tracking and ensure quality and compliance.
- Embeds and sustains Inventory protocols and Standard Operating Policies (SOPs); aligns with Operations function.
- Leads any audit initiative; complies with all CFC programs, standards, requirements.
- Responsible for on shift inventory accuracy.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

Temporary 8-Month contract (7am-5pm Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
- Provides insight to product handling and quality.
- Directs activities related to inventory investigations.
- Establishes a streamlined workflow between operations and inventory control functions (day to day) and act as a primary partner within the e-commerce team.
- Identifies areas of continuous improvement – implementing short- and long-term key performance indicators (KP)I initiatives. Supports operational management with communication and monitoring of KPIs.
- Works with warehouse management systems (WMS) technologies to optimize inventory levels and controls.
- Manages daily purge of stock and the assignment of products to our various third-party customers.
- Preparation and analysis of inventory data and reports; able to assess necessary adjustments in a timely manner to improve inventory accuracy and reduce damage and loss. Escalates any issues to the Inventory Manager.
- Establishes and maintains high personal involvement, accessibility, and visibility to Fulfillment centre team members.
- Manages/assesses issues related to inventory flow and controls.
- Adheres to and implement all applicable Food Safety program requirements.
- General Understanding and adherence of Food Safety Policies or relevant Standard Operating Procedures such as General Health and Hygiene, Allergen Policy, Temperature Checks, etc.
- Any other duties as required.
What you have to offer:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum four years in warehousing, transportation, or logistics inventory management position with 5 years in a management position preferred.
- Experience working in a Third Party (3PL) or Retail logistics environment an asset.
- Demonstrated successful experience managing large teams in complex logistics operations, working with big data and warehouse management systems.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional team-building ability and a strong people development background
- Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong computer systems knowledge (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- High level of integrity and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- ‘Big-picture’ thinker with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency within a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
