Overview

The Customer Order Management Professional (COMP) manages all customer commitments that enter our in-store service processes. These commitments take the form of customer orders and deliveries, Sendial shopping and online shopping and delivery. The COMP is the primary interface between the Order Management System [OMS], store personnel, and the customer. The COMP will ensure accurate information is generated and distributed to appropriate personnel within individual store departments. The COMP will then follow up with order assignments and status to ensure schedules are met and the products are manufactured to the customer’s satisfaction. The COMP will ensure that orders are complete, all materials are packaged to survive transportation, and that the method of payment is clearly outlined. Actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

Job Description

  • Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives
  • Establish positive eye contact and greets customers with a smile
  • Demonstrate dependability, conscientiousness, and punctuality
  • Extract each day’s orders from OMS and prioritize them, based on time required to assemble and scheduled delivery time
  • Assign all order commitments to appropriate departments for completion
  • Follow up with departments to ensure order commitments are on track
  • Organize method of payment and related paperwork
  • Stage orders for both delivery and pickup
  • Discuss order requirements with customers who visit or self- shop in store
  • Pass delivery information to Drivers at pre-set times
  • Assist in finding alternate store location to help complete orders if current department capacity is exceeded
  • Address customer concerns and/or complaints regarding deliveries, errors or problems with product quality
  • Prepare orders for next day, ensuring custom materials for orders are available
  • Update OMS and customer database as required
  • Ensure COMP on next shift has required information
  • Assists in the training of junior staff as required
  • Other duties as required
