The Support Services/Replenishment Area partners with the Store Operator to provide and communicate strategic direction and vision that has been customized for the local market as well as, to coach, motivate, and develop Department Managers to foster customer loyalty, fulfil customer needs, and actively contribute to a total store environment of employee and customer engagement. They support and execute Replenishment and Support Services strategy including re-stocking, planogram changes, seasonal changes, regional donation programs/participation, onboarding, training, employee engagement, file maintenance, champion initiatives, inventory management, HR, and Front-End services.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
Operations:
- Effectively communicate and partner with other Area Leader(s) and Store Leader to execute overall store strategy.
- Provide strategic direction and vision for Replenishment and Support Services functions.
- P&L management for Replenishment and Support Services teams including sales forecast, margin driving strategies, shrink controls, managing payroll targets, and controllable spend.
- Direct and manage Replenishment and Support Services teams to achieve sales, profits, and labor goals.
- Create, review, and finalize Replenishment and Support Services employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels while managing labor costs.
- Manage equipment escalations, ensure completion of repairs, and interact with vendors as needed.
- Own and update Replenishment, Produce, and Front End sales forecast and weekly plans.
- Review and ensure completion of department-to-department transfers, manage credit requests, and review weekly expenses to assist with department profitability.
- Utilize CAO reports to identify inventory opportunities, and partner with Admin & Systems Team to take appropriate actions to optimize inventory including adjusting shelf capacity and minimums in CAO.
- Act as a conduit between the store and backstage for Replenishment and Support Services teams.
- Manage vendor relationships and sales rep visits.
- Implement loss prevention strategies while providing customer service to reduce theft, ensuring employee safety and avoiding direct confrontation.
- Act as Store Leader/key holder when Store Leader is not in the store (rotate with other Area Leader(s)).
- Promote fundraising efforts and effectively communicate fundraising goals to the team.
- Ensure execution and completion of critical Front End, Admin, and systems tasks required daily.
- Own execution and implementation of champion, multicultural, and local strategies.
- Responsible for ensuring all OHS requirements are met across the store including food and physical safety.
- Monitor and audit pricing accuracy including sales pricing, price file verification, and manage price changes.
Customers:
- Partner with Store Leader to review and address customer feedback, monitor customer service expectations and mystery shopper(s), manage CARE program and customer surveys, and implement innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
- Maintain an up-to-date, deep understanding of Replenishment and Support Services items and baseline understanding of other store departments’ services and goods to direct customers as needed.
- Share product and service knowledge with Replenishment and Support Services employees and other store departments to help service customers.
- Leverage knowledge of Replenishment and other departments’ services and goods, answer customer questions, and help customers make decisions.
Employees:
- Own the training and onboarding for team members, ensure team members are supported and enabled to deliver their roles to expected standards, including coaching and influencing employees through change.
- Promote completion of employee experience survey and assist in action plan build and execution.
- Assist Replenishment and Support Services Managers in administering training to employees.
- Conduct Replenishment and Support Services Manager performance evaluations.
- Responsible for scheduling and managing/maintaining the WFM System (KRONOS).
- Identify inter- and cross-team development opportunities for employees.
What you have to offer:
- Previous leadership experiencing including management, delegation, and conflict resolution with strong coaching and mentorship skills
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Quality judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions; P&L and inventory management
- Strong Produce & Replenishment knowledge (shelf life of produce, temperature to display produce at, re-stocking methods and timing, etc.)
- Food Safety certified with an understanding of food safety, rotation, handling, and recall execution
- Knowledge of inventory needs for all departments
- Ability to read and execute planograms and flowagrams
- Total store knowledge to support customer inquiries (i.e., where things are located, general information on latest product and service trends, who to connect them with to get answers, etc.)
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, climb, balance, kneel, and frequently push/pull up to 50 lbs., and lift more than 25 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of company WFM software (KRONOS)
- General HR knowledge (recruiting, onboarding, training, etc.)
- Maintain knowledge of champions programs and desired outcomes
- Strong knowledge of storewide inventory needs and company software (FIM, CAO, KRONOS, RAW)
