Job Description

The Strategy Specialist is accountable for supporting strategic projects across the business that are aligned with the current 3-year strategy and long-term company objectives.  

Support corporate strategy
•Work as part of the strategy team on internal strategic projects identified as critical to delivery of overall organization strategy
•With limited direction or oversight, conduct analyses on the industry / competitive landscape and key retail / consumer trends, developing a view on potential growth opportunities 
•Drive active / passive exploration of inorganic growth opportunities and provide key analytical support on M&A / partnership exploration 

Problem solving / analysis and insights
•Design, construct and perform quantitative analysis, modeling, and forecasting required for strategic planning
•Drive quantitative analyses and summarize key findings to an Executive level
•Work collaboratively with key project stakeholders to drive desired project outcomes
•Develop clear and concise written materials to present key findings
•Navigate internally across a matrixed organization to collect quantitative input and qualitative assessments as input to key analyses
•Work collaboratively with and manage key project stakeholders (including senior level management) to drive desired project outcomes
•Source external data required to perform analyses, triangulate across multiple sources to validate accuracy / relevance
•Conduct qualitative research via internal stakeholder and external expert interviews
•Assist qualitative research via internal stakeholder and external expert interviews
•Proactively identify first-order insights / second-order implications 

•Develop clear and concise written materials to present key findings
•Support development of executive level presentation materials
•Present analyses and recommendation; respond to questions and follow ups


Job Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Finance, or Engineering 
•5 years’ experience
•Preferred - consulting experience, Transaction Services, or in-house strategy function for a large, public organization 
•Mastery of Microsoft Excel and Power Point
•Experience conducting external market research
•Experience in building strategic models
