Responsible for overseeing the visual aspects of creative projects, ensuring that designs align with the brand’s vision and objectives. This role involves managing design projects from concept to completion, collaborating with other creative professionals, and maintaining high standards of visual quality and consistency across all media.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Translate creative briefs into compelling and effective visual designs, in collaboration with Copywriters when needed.
- Lead the design process, including conceptualization, layout, and final production. Ensure that all visual materials are aesthetically pleasing, on-brand, and meet quality standards.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, coordinating with other departments to ensure timely and successful delivery. Oversee the production process, including print and digital outputs.
- Mentor and guide junior designers and other team members. Provide constructive feedback and support to help them develop their skills and achieve project goals.
- Work closely with copywriters, photographers, and other creatives to integrate design elements with content. Ensure cohesive and effective visual communication across all project components.
- Review and approve design drafts, final layouts, and other visual materials. Ensure that all work adheres to brand standards and project requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies. Incorporate new ideas and best practices into design work to maintain a fresh and innovative approach.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director and other team members to develop visual concepts that align with project goals and brand guidelines
What you have to offer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. Or Advanced degrees or certifications in creative leadership are a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in a design role, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory position. Proven experience in managing design projects and teams.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of high-quality design work, including digital, print, and multimedia projects in the food and retail industries.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with other design tools and technologies. Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design. Experience with AI is a plus..
