We have a full-time opportunity for a Training Content Designer. Under the leadership of Training and Development Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for designing and developing functional and technical training content in collaboration with functional experts.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • Conduct training needs assessments, create, improve and adapt different training materials to support the training and skills development of store employees and managers
  • Analyse the audience to offer/adapt the appropriate training
  • Develop training content (Storyboards, scripts, Participant’s guide, job aids, etc) by proposing appropriate, creative and innovative learning methods and solutions in collaboration with functional experts
  • Act as a facilitator in the training of trainers for new initiatives, analyze alternative methods and use appropriate methodologies, such as self-study, virtual training, face-to-face, online learning, depending on user needs and operational constraints
  • Collaborate with the media Integrators to ensure the development of the training modules is compliant with the initial design

 
The candidate will be expected to work with peers in other provinces in the development, development and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada

What you have to offer:

  • You have completed a recognized education or training program in education, andragogy or educational technology combined with five (5) years experience in a training department
  • You have a strong experience in the training needs assessment process
  • You are familiar with classroom and online training content development techniques based on the ADDIE methodology and have experience in managing training projects
  • You are familiar with development software such as: Articulate360, Vyond, etc.
  • You prefer a collaborative approach
  • You have strong analytical skills, find creative solutions and result oriented
  • You can manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting established deadlines
  • You have basic skills in project management
  • You are fluently bilingual, both written and spoken (English and French)
