We are looking for a Talent Development professional to join our Culture and Talent team.  In this role, you will be a champion of our organizational Purpose and Culture, helping to bring our Values to life through leadership behaviours and targeted initiatives.   You will bring your expertise in the areas of driving Culture and Engagement strategies to this team.

Job Description

 


What you will get to do in this role:

 

  • Responsible for Purpose and Culture specific program management including project planning, project execution, deployment, communication, change management, monitoring and reporting.    Also accountable for continuous improvement and project recap.
  • Responsible for development of new program design or updates, with assistance.   
  • Ensure HR Talent and business programs are aligned with the desired culture, leadership model, and reflect a culture of inclusion. 
  • Collaborate with HR and the business to develop and execute strategies that will meet the needs of the business while reinforcing our Purpose and Culture.   
  • Lead the communications change management of new and changing culture solutions to ensure buy-in and adoption
  • Support implementation, and ensure buy-in, readiness and enablement across all stakeholder groups.  
  • Partner and proactively address integration points between HR/CoE HR programs and business initiatives to ensure an integrated approach to Culture. 
  • Own contracts with supplier partners and manage budget. 
  • Ensure projects are executed on time and on budget.
  • Ensure ongoing measurement and evaluation of program within area of responsibility to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Build meaningful relationships with all key stakeholders and partners.
  • Model a culture of Sobeys Purpose and Values.

Job Requirements

 

What you bring to the table:

 

  • Superior communication skills, verbal and written, strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Highly motivated and proven ability to promote and take ownership of projects pertaining to culture and change
  • Solid sense of confidentiality and discretion
  • Ability to be self-motivated and think outside the box
  • Ability to create and manage relationships, both internal and external
  • Ability to communicate, influence and work in a collaborative manner
  • MBA or Undergraduate degree and/or college diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in Human Resources, including a minimum of 3 years experience in Employee Engagement strategies or Talent Program management
  • Experience in the development and delivery of processes, tools and programs
  • Experience running projects and virtual project teams.  
  • Experience maintaining documentation, processes, tools and programs
  • Experience in retail an asset
