The Specialist will be responsible for producing, automating, and monitoring the performance of targeted multichannel campaigns (acquisition, retention, transactional, etc.). This individual will leverage their deep technical knowledge of email sending platforms, mobile notifications, and targeted paid media to integrate emails, while creating and automating various campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. They will also produce and analyze performance results to propose continuous improvements. Additionally, they will create data extensions for CRM campaign targeting, develop test strategies, and make recommendations to optimize customer communications. The selected candidate will produce performance reports for targeted marketing campaigns that support key performance indicators (KPIs).

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

Key Tasks:

  • Develop, program, and integrate targeted email, mobile notification, and paid media campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Configure automated targeted marketing campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (develop segmentation and control groups, create automated processes, emails, etc.).
  • Implement quality assurance processes to deliver error-free campaigns.
  • Create simple and complex data extensions for multichannel CRM campaigns.
  • Manage data, segmentation, and communication lists in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Analyze, interpret, and present performance results based on CRM campaign data, providing conclusions and recommendations to optimize customer journey-based campaigns.
  • Ensure smooth data flow for error-free processing.
  • Collaborate on developing new dashboards for key marketing campaign performance indicators.
  • Work with Commercial Research and Analytics & Insights counterparts to provide retrospective post-campaign analyses and actionable recommendations to the marketing leadership team, establish test plans, and optimize strategies.

  • Creation of complex queries & data extensions to enable personalized customer journeys.
  • Number of decisions influenced by CRM campaign analysis within the marketing team.
  • Use of CRM campaign analyses throughout the organization.
  • Recommendations on performance analyses.
  • Quality, timeliness, and accuracy of delivered reports.

What you have to offer:

Desired Skills:

  • Produce high-quality results within strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the following analysis tools: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Data Extensions, Salesforce Datorama, Google Analytics, Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, loyalty programs, SQL.
  • HTML and AMP scripting experience.
  • Ability to work independently and within a versatile team.
  • Ability to meet tight and changing deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate performance results clearly in both written and oral presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, computer science, or another relevant discipline.
  • 2 years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a similar platform.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, data architecture, and integration principles.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Email Specialist, Journey Builder Consultant) are a plus.
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods industries preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and French. The candidate will be expected to work with peers in other provinces in the development, development and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada
