You are a builder, influencer, and change agent

In this exciting role, you will be developing road maps describing the evolution of all enterprise solution portfolios from current state to future state. This involves identifying the gaps between the future-state and current-state architecture at Sobeys and developing plans for moving toward the future states.

 

You can ensure that project management and the solution delivery life cycle leverage all aspects of enterprise architecture (EA) — separately by EA viewpoint (for example, business, information and technology) and via guidance from the Sobeys EA team across those viewpoints.  Be prepared to "sell" the EA process, its outcome and ongoing results, and to lead the communication, marketing or educational activities needed to ensure EA success and use within the Sobeys enterprise.

What you bring to the table:  

  • Ability to understand business strategy and short-term perspectives of situations
  • Ability to effectively research emerging technologies and trends, standards and products
  • Ability to analyze project, program and portfolio needs, as well as to determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-functional barriers
  • Ability to balance short-term results with long-term needs and to offer incremental approaches to achieve strategic objectives

What you have to offer:

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science
  • Champion efforts to improve business performance through IT solutions and capabilities.
  • Minimum 10 years progressive work experience in Information Technology
  • 2+ years as an Enterprise or Solution Architect
  • Extensive knowledge of IT Business Processes
