Job Description


As a Manager Finance Accounting & Control you will:
•    Reviewing and validating financial statements for completeness and accuracy
•    Oversee/complete the period-end process, controls, and procedures
•    Review working papers that support account balances.
•    Provide guidance/assistance to employees completing financial statements and/or any required follow-up items
•    Facilitate the internal and external audit of accounts and balances
•    Ensure compliance with CEO/CFO certification, and compliance with Sobeys Inc. accounting policies and IFRS
•    Apply business and financial expertise to assist in resolution of complex issues
•    Work towards harmonizing processes and cost control and efficiencies
•    Prepare various analytical and ad-hoc reports
•    Foster an environment that encourages employee engagement and motivates team members to perform at their best
 

Job Requirements

•    A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Accounting or related field
•    University Degree and Accounting Designation (CPA) 
•    Knowledge of SAP preferred
•    Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
•    Solid analytical and problem solving skills
•    Proven time management, organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
•     Ability to anticipate issues and recommend appropriate actions
