Position available: Enterprise Architect

You are a builder, influencer, and change agent


In this exciting role, you will be developing road maps describing the evolution of all enterprise solution portfolios from current state to future state. This involves identifying the gaps between the future-state and current-state architecture at Sobeys and developing plans for moving toward the future states.


You can ensure that project management and the technology life cycle leverage all aspects of enterprise architecture (EA) — separately by EA viewpoint (for example, business, information and technology) and via guidance from the Sobeys EA team across those viewpoints.  Be prepared to monitor regulatory guidelines (such as privacy requirements), compliance-related guidance (such as data retention and audit requirements) and emerging industry standards to determine their impact on the Sobeys architecture.

What you bring to the table:  

•    Ability to understand business strategy and short-term perspectives of situations
•    Ability to effectively research emerging technologies and trends, standards and products
•    Ability to analyze project, program and portfolio needs, as well as to determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-functional barriers
•    Ability to balance short-term results with long-term needs and to offer incremental approaches to achieve strategic objectives

Job Requirements


What you have to offer:


  • Undergraduate degree in computer science or engineering
  • Champion efforts to improve business performance through IT solutions and capabilities
  • Minimum 8 years progressive work experience in Information Technology
  • 3+ years as an Enterprise Architect or Solution Architect
  • Bilingualism (English and French) considered an asset
