Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

Lead Business Development team for Pharmacy (all banners/regions)
•    Identify and pursue opportunities in-line with consumer/market trends
•    Set performance targets for different lines of business
•    Coach and develop functional team
•    Monitor and act on Employee Engagement results
•    Create opportunities for skill development and career progression to develop talent

 

Oversee Continuing Care (CC), co-located Physician Clinic Strategy and Acquisition Strategy
•    Provide direction and coaching to all team members regarding growth and management of these businesses
•    Stay abreast of new developments
•    Identify new growth opportunities to drive prescription count across the country and/or Lawtons sales
•    Proactively identifying strategic opportunities to expand the pharmacy business

 

 

Drive growth in Long Term Care business
•    Defend and grow current position in Atlantic as number one provider of pharmacy services while growing business across rest of the country
•    Gather information and make recommendations on long term care outlooks in government policies.
•    Establish and maintain positive relationships with physicians within our business facilities and community
 

Ensure alignment with Operations
•    Gain organizational alignment for the business development plan and timing of execution (e.g. physician clinics and acquisition)


Support the development of the Continuing Care budget and Pharmacy Acquisition Forecasts
•    Work with team to develop budgets by business to meet targets
•    Work with team to create action plans to meet forecasted financials
•    Communicate business performance to leader of Pharmacy business
•    Examine operating costs and make recommendations for savings

 

Liaise with other departments of the company to optimize revenue opportunities, pursue opportunities to work together

 


 

Key Support Accountabilities

•    Work with Finance on budgeting and financial planning as well as supporting execution against capital plan
•    Coordinate business growth plans with Pharmacy Operations ensuring superior customer service
•    Work closely with operations and continuous improvement to maximize profitability
•    Key member of the pharmacy leadership team with contributions into all areas of the business

What you have to offer:

•A Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
•Thorough understanding of the retail pharmacy industry in Canada.
•Extensive business to business and business to consumer business development experience considered an asset
