Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for passionate new talent to join our team! Our Sobeys Supply Chain Planning and Analytics team is currently looking for a DSD Master Planner to support our newest automated ordering initiative for our banner stores.
If you have experience in managing stores ordering schedules, have the eye for precision and details and enjoy having control over your daily tasks, then this role is for you.  You can also work remotely up to 2 days a week with 3 in-office days expectations.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within the DSD and warehouse operations.
  • Strive to reduce excess inventory holding costs by optimizing inventory levels.
  • Setting goals to improve delivery efficiency by enhancing on-time delivery performance, reducing delivery lead times, and minimizing delivery errors, resulting in higher customer satisfaction!
  • Effectively communicate with team members, suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity of objective and expectations.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by encouraging teamwork, sharing ideas and seeking input from others to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Making well-informed decisions based on data, analysis and reviewing potential risks. 
  • Approach challenges with a open mind set identifying root causes and find solutions to resolve issues and improve performance.
  • Accountable for meeting commitments, achieving goals, and meeting Key performance Metrics.
  • Obtain accurate information from vendors in order to create schedules.
  • Create & maintain DSD CAO regular schedules.
  • Create & maintain DSD CAO holiday schedules.
  • Communication to stores on their DSD schedules. 
  • Manager Stores RSC/DSD receiving schedules.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and stores to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to stores.
  • Implement strategies to streamline DSD operations.

What you have to offer:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or warehouse operations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools for scheduling, tracking, and reporting
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

The salary range for this position in British Columbia is $73,000.00 - $101,000.00. We will consider factors such as your working location, work experience and skills as well as internal equity, and market conditions to ensure that you are paid fairly and competitively.
