Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Compensation Coordinator to join our Human Resources team based out of our office in Stellarton, Nova Scotia.

Job Description

• Participate in the analysis, administration and communication of the company’s compensation programs

• Maintain accurate database of compensation programs, inclusive of participant data in SAP

• Assist with creation of documentation of various compensation programs

• Assist in implementing new technologies for various compensations programs and maintaining data to ensure various systems are accurate

• Assist, as required, in providing monthly, quarterly, and annual compensation reporting for senior management on timely basis

• Assist in calculating incentive awards

• Understand and interpret compensation policies and procedures

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements

• Other duties as required

Job Requirements

Technical Skills    

• Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Capable of analyzing and interpreting data, and formatting reports
• Above average communication skills (oral and written)

• Knowledge of SAP HR

Educational and Working Experience    

• Undergraduate Degree or a college diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

• Previous Human Resources experience
• Previous experience with compensation programs and practices
• Pursuing CHRP or CCP
• Retail experience
