Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Cloud Administrator. This role is based out of our offices in Stellarton, NS.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Govern, Design, Deploy and Maintain Cloud services and architecture within a multi-cloud environment, primarily in Azure and including SAP Cloud Platform, Google Cloud Platform, and a growing list of cloud service providers and cloud-hosted solutions. Maximize the scalability and flexibility of the organization’s Cloud capabilities.
  • Development & Deployment. Support deployment and implementation, including testing, and troubleshooting. Translate business requirements into technical requirements, configure solutions as needed. Provide support to the Senior Cloud Administrators, Cloud Solution Architects, Senior and Enterprise Architects on new technology advancements, new design patterns for secure, scalable, flexible, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
  • Operation Sustainment. Participate in day-to-day support, maintenance and enhancements for Cloud services, and work with other teams as needed to resolve any technical issues that arise. Participate in Root Cause Analysis and Remediation on critical incidents.
  • Standards. Follow Cloud best practices, standards and policies. Supporting continuous improvement in a cloud environment.
  • Security. Comply with security standards and policies.
  • Cloud adoption. Support Cloud adoption to cross-functional teams working on solutions including but not limited to: micro-services and integration; large infrastructure as code implementations; data analytics, data engineering, machine-learning, and AI; enterprise data lake and data governance; Cloud Cyber Security.

What you have to offer:

 

 

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, information systems, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in IT. 
  • Technical knowledge of a variety of cloud platforms, and cloud services.
  • Experience in cloud automation development and deployment.
  • Experience working within an agile team environment preferred.
  • Retail industry experience preferred.
  • Platform specific certifications such as AZ 900 (Azure Fundamentals).
