Reporting to the Category Director, the successful candidate will assist category managers with category development for our National Convenience Stores (i.e. Voisin, Boni-Soir, IGA Express, Needs, and Sobeys Express. This role will be based in Atlantic Canada.

Job Description

What you'll get to do in this fast paced role: 

  • Review price lists for accuracy. 
  • Act as a resource person for all communications with our stores regarding issues related to pricing, products, promotions, etc.
  • Coordinate the various preparatory steps for listing new products and follow up with suppliers for flyer rebates and other inquiries.
  • Assist the category manager with any other merchandising tasks (e.g., correcting flyers and shelf labels, programs, preparing debit memos, validating rebates, etc.).

Job Requirements

What your resume will include and demonstrate to us: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and two (2) years of relevant experience (any other combination deemed equivalent will be taken into consideration).
  • Independent worker with outstanding communication skills
  • Innovative, creative individual with excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bilingual
  • Knowledge of SAP software an asset
