Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team!  Our Finance team currently has an opportunity for a  Senior Financial Analyst, Internal Recovery based out of our office in Montreal, QC.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • In charge of various projects, develop innovative solutions and adapt analytical tools.
  • Evaluate opportunities and risks and prepare supporting presentation materials to leaders.
  • Support and Challenge Merchandising and Sourcing Directors and Managers to maximize Sobeys' profitability.
  • Assist Merchandising and Sourcing teams in discussions with suppliers.
  • Explain periodic variations in Profit Recovery results vs. budget and last year.
  • Responds to questions from internal and external auditors regarding processes under his/her responsibility.

What you have to offer:

  • Undergraduate Degree in a related discipline
  • 5 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of educational and relevant experience (e.g. College Diploma and 7 to 8 years of experience)
  • Bilingual (French and English) both orally and in writing. The candidate will be expected to work with peers in other provinces in the development, development and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada
  • Excellent analytical skills, detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven.
  • Autonomous, organized, and able to find solutions to problems.
  • Team player and able to influence others.
  • Advanced mastery of Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and Access)
