Overview
We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Real State Agent within the Development and Transactions team in Montreal, Quebec.
Job description
- Evaluate, select, recommend and negotiate the rental or acquisition of real estate sites to meet the requirements of the development plan;
- Produce approval documents.
- Assist in the production of documents (Leases, Offer to purchase) by legal advisors (internal and external);
- Meet with developers, municipal stakeholders, the MTQ, the Ministry of the Environment, etc. Represent the interest of the company during the progress of projects.
- Provide support to the engineering and construction department on real estate issues during the construction period.
- Management of vacant sites (sales, rental and subletting);
- Dispositions of real estate assets according to opportunities and/or disposal plan.
Job requirements:
- Undergraduate degree and at least 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- Negotiation experience and skills.
- Knowledge of buying, selling, leasing contracts and drafting documents and clauses.
- Knowledge of the retail market in Quebec (Ideally knowledge of the retail food market);
- Mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite and PowerPoint.
- Excellent command of oral and written French.
- Written and spoken English language, advanced level. The individual will be required to work with their peers in other provinces in the design, development and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, and also provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada. 50% of the time the teammate will have to use a language other than French.
