Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have an opportunity for a Demand Planning Manager to join our Grocery Replenishment team.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

Lead division replenishment team
•    Coach, develop and empower the Demand Planning team
•    Deliver against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success based on promotional forecast accuracy and promotional service level 

Manage promotional forecast accuracy and service level
•    Work with the Director, Replenishment to build a national strategy and  structure to best support the Company’s promotional performance 
•    Provide leadership and guidance to the Demand Planning team and other internal stakeholders in the development and management of best practice forecasting processes that will meet or exceed benchmarks for company promotional performance
•    Accountable for promotional service level and promotional forecast accuracy
•    Build strong relationships with Merchandising to review and align on promotional forecasts and plans
•    Communicate opportunities to vendors and category managers for improvement
•    Develop productive, proactive and consultative business relationships
•    Leverage vendor relationships to ensure supplier availability for all promotions

•    Work with Demand Planners to review promotional forecasts for upcoming promotions to maximize availability and improve forecast accuracy
•    Work with Buyers to ensure forecasts are effectively translated into accurate purchase orders
•    Collaborate with Merchandising to support promotional forecasting, maximize availability, and align on promotional volumes to maximize availability and sales
•    Act as a liaison between Buyers, Category Merchants and make recommendations to optimize inventory flow and in-stocks levels
•    Work closely with Demand Planning to ensure forecasts are effectively translated into accurate purchase orders 
•    Work closely with the Process Optimization team to identify opportunities to improve existing processes

What you have to offer:

•    An undergraduate degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
•    Knowledge of principles of demand forecasting and inventory planning
