Job Description

Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for new talent to join our team! We currently have an opportunity for an End user computing analyst to join our National information technology team.


  • Provides remote and onsite support for all Incidents, Requests and Changes for desktop environment in Offices and RSCs which includes implementation, configuration, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, and usage monitoring;
  • Responsible for resolving all incidents and fulfilling all requests assigned within defined SLA;
  • Executes on deployment plans and actively participates in all deployment activities for both Hardware and Software;
  • Communicates with Sobeys staff and ensures that all are kept aware of the status of their Incident and/or Request;
  • Coordinates and executes client training in relation to standard hardware and software applications;
  • Generates standard and ad hoc reports, and conducts trend analysis;
  • Monitors and provides data required for monthly metrics and department dashboard;
  • Documents all knowledge opportunities for the department and ensures accuracy of the knowledge base;
  • Complies with IT policies and procedures, especially those for quality and productivity standards that enable the team to meet established service levels ;
  • Complies with IT Security policies and procedures. Verifies all deliverables meet IT Security requirements;
  • Participates in IT projects;
  • Participates in analyzing, determining, and implementing changes that improve departmental efficiencies (continuous improvement).

Job Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years relevant experience in technical support; 
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems or pursuance of and/or equivalent work experience;
  • Experience in troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolation tehcniques;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute task;
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written);
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment;
  • Experienced and broad knowledge of the following: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Products for Microsoft and Mobile devices, basic Network Security Knowledge, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange knowledge, Microsoft Internet Explorer;
  • Ability to meet high customer service standards.
