Job Description


Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team!  We currently have a full-time opportunity for an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst on our Shared Services team.


  • Communication with Suppliers and Internal Business Groups to ensure integrity of data and best practices are followed
  • Testing and set up of new EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) trading partners in SAP and external EDI systems
  • Testing as required and maintenance for changes to existing EDI trading partners in SAP and external EDI systems
  • Deliver Daily and Weekly Reporting
  • Meet business targets and KPI’s
  • Provide a high level of customer service for our trading partners by ensuring that all EDI errors are addressed and resolved in a timely manner
  • Work to identify opportunities for new and more efficient ways to perform EDI tasks.
  • Assist with managing and supporting projects in preparation of implementation
  • Participate in implementation
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and address root cause issues


Job Requirements


  • Relevant education in Business (i.e.College Diploma or University Degree); equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Minimum 2 - 5 years relevant work experience within an office environment
  • EDI knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bilingual, French and English written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills; Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Proven time management, organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using SAP Preferred 
  • Retail experience considered an asset
