Job Description

 

Reporting to the Director Compensation, the incumbent will work in collaboration with the Compensation Advisors and Human Resources Business Partners to support them in the development, implementation and administration of Sobeys Base Base Pay Programs across the country.   

 

More specifically, the candidate will:

 

  • Analyze the Sobeys salary structure and compensation practices and compare them to market trends;    
  • Compile compensation data for submission to market surveys and conduct ad hoc surveys on salary and human resource policies;
  • Produce reports and perform analysis on base salaries;
  • Participate in the administration and communication of the base salary management programs;
  • Support the Compensation Team and the Human Resources Business Partners in the administration of the annual salary increase process; 
  • Participate in implementation and maintenance of pay equity programs in Quebec and Ontario;
  • Contribute to the development of compensation processes, procedures and tools;
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data and compliance with Sobeys base salary management guidelines.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR management or any other related training. 
  • You have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Human Resources, Compensation or Data Management.
  • You are proficient in Excel at an advanced intermediate level and have an additional advantage if you have used SuccessFactors or SAP HR.
  • You show initiative, autonomy and analytical skills. 
  • You enjoy working on a team and stand out for your effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing. 
  • You must understand and be able to communicate in French and in English.
