Reporting to the Compensation Director, you will be responsible for advising and supporting store and retail service center leaders in matters related to compensation.
Note that this is a 1 year contract.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Develop, maintain, implement and communicate salary structures and base salary programs for store and retail service centre employees
- Conduct market analyses, generate findings and make recommendations on changing salary structures for floor employees in stores and retail service centres
- Evaluate jobs and maintain pay equity programs for Quebec and Ontario corporate stores and retail service centres
- Advise, train and coach HR business partners and staffing specialists on base pay management and pay equity
- Maximize the Achievers recognition program at the retail service centres
- Help communicate Sobeys’ Total Rewards Package
- Participate in continuous improvement projects for compensation processes
- Ensure compensation data is up to date in HRIS software
What you have to offer:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, business administration or human resources management
- You have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, ideally in a retail or consulting setting
- You are bilingual in French and English; the candidate will be expected to work with peers in other provinces in the development, development and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada
- You have experience in a unionized setting and in maintaining pay equity programs
- You enjoy working in a team
- You have advanced intermediate proficiency in Excel. Experience with SAP HR, SuccessFactors or Dayforce is an asset
- You demonstrate initiative, independence and good judgment
