Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for passionate new talent! We are currently looking for a Sales Representative to join our team. The Sales Representative is responsible for new customer development and providing counsel visits to stores ensuring that we maintain and grow sales and profits while achieving weekly sales and revenue objectives. Actively contribute to a positive and productive working environment.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • Provide regular sales visits to stores
  • Responsible for increasing sales and profitability as per budget
  • Provide sales counseling to customers and national accounts
  • Responsible to present service, sales programs and special products to customers
  • Take sales orders and pickup cheques as required 
  • Provide exceptional customer service to meet customer needs and ensuring continued customer loyalty
  • Present new potential customers an overall sales program including all services and pricing
  • Provide overall merchandising and operations assistance for store setup
  • Inform management on competitive activity and market changes
  • Responsible to keep accounts receivables within our credit terms
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per Company requirements
  • Other duties as required

What you have to offer:

  • Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet objectives
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain customer base
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Two to three years experience at the wholesale and retail levels within the
  • Grocery industry a strong asset
  • 2+ years in sales in an account management type role with some business development experience
  • Proven track record hitting sales targets
