Sobeys has an immediate opening for a Brand Management Specialist in merchandising to join our Own Brands Grocery team.

The Brand Manager Specialist will be involved in the execution and management of the private label brand management strategy within assigned categories and drive continuous Improvement in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Job responsibilities include:

 

 

•    On time delivery of the end to end brand/product plan from ideation to implementation
•    Execution of the brand/product specific strategic business plan across categories
•    Working closely with Procurement Specialists, Product Developers, Regulatory Managers, QA Specialists, and Packaging/Design to bring products from concept to shelf.
•    Gaining alignment with Category Merchant to incorporate Private Label products into the category strategy and category planning process 
•    Supporting the development of the product plan for assigned categories by supplying key metrics such as sales, trends, etc.
•    Ensuring all brand standards for product, packaging and design are adhered to
•    Supporting Marketing to ensure private label presence in the national marketing calendar
•    Acting as an advocate for Sobeys private label brands, both internally and externally
 

What you bring to the table

 

 

•    An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience 
•    Previous Project Management experience 
•    Strong retail product knowledge
