The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a skilled, creative Brand Management Specialist to join our team for a 14-month, salaried contract opportunity.
The brand specialist will participate in long term strategy, COGS negotiations and drive financial performance of their categories.  You will have end to end responsibilities for product development.
 

What you will do in this exciting role

  • The brand specialist will participate in long term strategy, COGS negotiations and drive financial performance of their categories.  You will have end to end responsibilities for product development.
  • Be responsible for the on time delivery of the end to end brand/product plan from ideation to implementation
  • Execute the brand/product specific strategic business plan across categories
  • Work closely with Procurement Specialists, Product Developers, Regulatory Managers, QA Specialists, and Packaging/Design to bring products from concept to shelf.
  • Gain alignment with Category Merchant to incorporate Private Label products into the category strategy and category planning process 
  • Support the development of the product plan for assigned categories by supplying key metrics such as sales, trends, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring all brand standards for product, packaging and design are adhered to
  • Support Marketing to ensure private label presence in the national marketing calendar
  • Act as an advocate for Sobeys private label brands, both internally and externally

  • Drive Process improvement by focusing on increasing efficiencies through work activity and document flow

  • Previous Project Management experience 
  • Strong retail product knowledge
