In this role, you will provide complex financial analysis and business decision support to the Own Brands (Private Label) team, having responsibility for reporting on consolidated Own Brands results, budgeting, forecasting and related reporting and analysis.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

• Serve as the lead finance business partner for Own Brands (Private Label) on day-to-day finance and related analytics support
• Produce and review National reporting  for daily, weekly, and periodic Own Brands performance and work to resolve issues to ensure the accuracy of Own Brands reporting
• Develop timely and accurate financial performance information shared to the Executive team, the Own Brands team, Operations, Merchandising, and Finance partners with value-add analysis on key KPIs
• Compile and analyze Own Brand cost centre expenses to identify and develop an understanding of trends, targets, and areas of improvement 
• Responsible for ongoing gap and opportunity analysis for Own Brands
• Collaborate with our National Supplier Funding team to report on Own Brands COGS savings initiatives
• Collaborate with our Sustainability group to participate in the quantification of financial impact of Packaging in Own Brands. 
• Work closely with Merchandising Services to ensure consistent metrics are being used in reporting around Sales and Margin
• Report consolidated results, budget, and forecast information to Own Brands team and Finance teams
 

What you have to offer:

• A minimum of 5 years related work experience
• University degree MBA and/or Professional designation or working towards one (CA, CGA, CMA, CFA)
• Working knowledge of SAP, SAPBW, Tableau preferred
• Previous retail experience working with Category and Merchandising departments preferred
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (both Oral and Written)
• Able to work in a team environment
• Strong analytical skills
• Business partnership/team lead
