Senior Developer SAP CDC - Gigya

Overview

In this exciting role, you will be identifying functional and technical solutions to meet requirements and ensure the development of detailed functional, technical and operational specifications for delivery of recommended solutions. This includes building solutions, researching, documenting, and modifying software and specifications throughout the system development life cycle. 

You will conduct design and code reviews to ensure the solution delivered conforms to IT and team standards and quality software delivery practices all while ensuring all documentation created is up to date and correct before solution or changes are implemented into production. In addition, you can create unit test plans with detailed test cases and consistently write and test solutions without errors, to estimate and conform to best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Understanding business users’ needs
• Providing estimates based on requests for changes
• Preparing functional analyses and suggesting IT solutions
• Preparing detailed specifications for developers
• Providing technical support for SAP CDC.  (NOTE :  The role will require some on-call support on weekends; will be paid for weekend support hours as per applicable provincial regulations and Sobeys corporate guidelines)
• Integrating external software with SAP CDC
• Upgrading and creating robust applications and prototypes
• Upgrading and creating test decks
• Updating or creating unit documentation (if needed) and running test cases
• Running integration test cases and recording the results
• Monitoring program performance during integration tests and correcting or reporting any anomalies noted
• Working collaboratively with teammates, internal business partners and vendors
• Sharing knowledge by mentoring and training programmers
• Suggesting innovative solutions based on the company’s various needs

Skills and Experience Requirements :

• You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science and 7 to 10 years experience in systems analysis and programming (any other combinations deemed equivalent will be considered).

• You have strong problem-solving skills.

• You have drive and ambition and are a good team player.

• You adapt quickly to a changing environment.

• You can program and learn new techniques quickly.

• You have experience developing C# and .Net Entity Framework desktop applications.

• You have experience with Windows, Microsoft SQL Server, and Visual Studio.

• You have thorough knowledge of HTML, Java Script, ASP.NET and MVC.

• You have experience developing and integrating APIs

• Extensive knowledge of SAP, preferably in SAP CDC (Gigya).

• Strong knowledge of Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) is highly preferred.

• Retail industry experience is preferred

• Communication in both spoken and written French and English is an asset.
