Overview

 

Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have a full-time opportunity for an Network Specialist. This role can be based out of one our main offices including: Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; Alberta, AB; Quebec, QC.

Job Description

 

What you'll get to do in this fast paced role:

 

  • Support a National Corporate Network that satisfies our customer’s day-to-day telecommunication requirements
  • Respond to user’s network requests as they relate to voice/ data/ RF and video
  • Co-ordinate day-to-day operation of the National Corporate Network which includes installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining the infrastructure
  • Install any network technology equipment required to enhance performance
  • Assist with developing and testing network disaster recovery plans
  • Assist with and, if required, work to correct any problems affecting network performance
  • Establish and maintain network cabling/cabinets together with supporting documentation
  • Available and able to be on-call for troubleshooting Network issues

 

Job Requirements

 

What your resume will include and demonstrate to us:

 

  • College Diploma in Computer Science
  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science Preferred
  • Cisco training and designation
  • Cisco router experience
  • One to three years related working experience
  • Cabling and phone system experience
  • Experience working with large networks and their associated technology
  • Bilingual would be an asset
