Overview

The Sobeys Marketing team is seeking Marketing Renovation Specialist to join a dynamic, world-class team with a continuous focus on the customer.  As a strategic specialist, you will play a key role in the overall development and execution of renovation support for stores. You understand store renovations and developing renovation plans is an asset so we can minimize disruption in store, and retain customers. 


You have a good understanding of signage, various marketing channels and loyalty programs and experience developing multi-channel marketing campaigns. You would collaborate with Operations, Construction and Marketing teams to deliver renovation support for selected stores and hitting all milestones /deliverables.


Your experience, logic and project management skills will help you to play a key partner to our Channel and Brand Leads in Marketing to execute renovation support tactics for Tier 1 & 2 stores and accelerate growth. The ideal candidate we are looking for has experience with grand openings, a strong operational background and has experience developing multi-channel marketing campaigns


 

Job Description


•    Responsible for the overall development and execution of renovation support for stores undergoing a Tier 1 or 2 renovation (process development / project management /tactical implementation for all owned media and paid media to support renovation)
•    Collaborate with Construction Directors & Project Managers to clearly understand each renovation project including; construction start and completion date, phasing plans and scope of work
•    Gather insights for each project including; location maps and demographic Environics 
•    Coordinate meeting cadence with Construction Project Manager and Operations during project to ensure consistent communication 
•    Align and order construction signage requirements for each project (interior and exterior)
•    Develop and Implement marketing tactics required to support the most disruptive construction phases
•    Coordinate renovation support marketing tactics with channel leads including; in store promotions and offers, owned channel tactics, Loyalty (Air Miles) opportunities and paid media (when appropriate)
•    Identify opportunities to celebrate department openings during the construction and coordinate marketing tactics to alert customers of the department opening 
•    Set up and communicate offers to Operations and front-end specialist teams
•    Analyze offer redemptions and success and adjust as required
•    Develop a presentation deck for each store with all relevant information for the successful transition of the renovation support over to the Grand Opening Specialist
•    Review the Milestone Report daily to flag any changes to projects including; REAC approvals, date changes, Tier changes and overall project details
•    Ensure renovation signage and tactics are on time and on budget and coordinate with onsite set up team 
•    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (40+ projects annually)
•    Effectively communicate construction status for Tier 1 and 2 projects to Grand Opening Team on an ongoing basis
•    Develop Post Renovation analysis to measure success 

Key Support Accountabilties

•    Responsible to work with Channel and Brand Leads in Marketing to execute renovation support tactics for Tier 1 & 2 stores
•    Act as the key point of contact for Construction Project Managers and Operations on questions / concerns related to marketing support for stores undergoing a Tier 1 or 2 renovation
•    Collaborate with peers to transition renovation support over to the Grand Opening Specialist to coordinate the Reopening celebrations for each store at the appropriate time
•    Work with marketing analytics to evaluate performance and optimization of tactics and promotions

•    Communicate plan for approval to Grand Opening Manager
