Overview

The Manager, Customer Acquisition & Partner Promotions will be a key contributor in driving growth for Empire through the development and delivery of new customer acquisition tactics and strategies.  Reporting to the Director of Partner Management, this role will have broad exposure to various internal teams and external partners.  Responsible for building and maintaining key relationships, working closely to align stakeholder interests across all departments including Brand and Marketing, Loyalty, Merchandising, Store Operations and related businesses.  The successful candidate should have strategic and analytical acumen, strong relationship building skills and be able to work with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and execute on Empire’s growth strategies.

Job Description

  • Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders and External Partners to develop customer targeting and offer strategies that drive customer acquisition and digital engagement
  • Lead development of annual partnership marketing calendar ensuring alignment across key internal and external Stakeholders
  • Design customer acquisition campaigns with Partners to identify objectives and coordinate approvals and channel deployment, etc. 
  • Coordinate execution of customer acquisition campaigns with internal Empire teams and partner teams 
  • Oversee program sign-up and customer onboarding journey in store and digital channels
  • Support program development by identifying strategic partners, small-scale promo partners
  • Identify banner-specific customers acquisition opportunities with Loyalty Mktg and QC Loyalty
  • Track customer acquisition, program performance via Program Health & Partner dashboards

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, preferably within loyalty or growth marketing
  • Experience in Partner Management considered an asset
  • Retail and/or grocery experience is considered an asset
