Empire Company Limited is looking for an experienced and inspiring people leader to support the company’s Community Investment strategy in hundreds of communities from coast to coast.  The Manager, Community Investment, has a strong understanding of corporate community investment and/or sponsorships, experience partnering with the charitable sector, and a track record of implementing meaningful and authentic corporate citizenship initiatives.

Job Description


  • Play an active leadership role in advancing Empire Company Limited’s Community Investment strategy
  • Coach and mentor a team of community investment professionals 
  • Manage an integrated roadmap consisting of seven strategic initiatives 
    • 4 annual fundraising campaigns inclusive of robust marketing plans
    • 3 programs including the Community Action Fund, Healthier Tomorrows Individual Giving Program and contributor in Empire’s DE&I priorities
  • Drive social impact by stewarding a portfolio of approximately 50 community partners that nourish Healthy Bodies and Healthy Minds across the country
  • Partner effectively and efficiently with multiple stakeholders across the company including Marketing, Operations, Finance, Human Resource, Legal, DE&I and Sustainability 
  • Support corporate-led response to disaster relief efforts
  • Collaborate with Marketing colleagues to inspire our customers by amplifying our strategy across owned and media channels
  • Lead and maintain social and financial reporting for multiple campaigns, partnerships and initiatives within the Community Investment strategy
  • Advise and support functions within the business on charitable activities and events in regions across the country
  • Represent Empire Company Limited to internal and external audiences and partners.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree or a DEC
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a corporate sponsorships and/or community investment role
  • Experience in managing community partnerships
  • Experience in developing innovative and impactful partnerships, programs and initiatives 
  • Experience with measurement and evaluation models whether specific to Community Investment or broader ESG knowledge
  • Marketing background/experience an asset
  • Experience with a donation intake platform an asset
