Overview

Job Description

 

 

As the Manager Capabilities, Optimization you will:

 

  • Coordinate all aspects of Witron’s WMS enhancements, scope development, testing, communication and deployment
  • Ensure strategic understanding of current and future technology opportunities, identification of solutions and the design of solutions that can be used to further profit the business 
  • Coordinate and validate all new releases/patches related to the Witron System Automation
  • Conduct periodic system audits to ensure warehouse is delivering the maximum benefit of the system
  • Support Automated RSC’s as they strive to improve operations through financial controls, inventory levels, productivity, spare parts management, etc. 
  • Develop, validate and maintain operational KPI’s for automated warehouses
  • Monitor performance of 3PL operations in regards to throughput; fault durations, frequency of faults and consumables
  • Identify best practices amongst the automated RSC and seek system innovation and innovative ideas to increase throughput and productivity
  • Identify development needs and provide support to 3PL and Sobeys team in terms of on-the-job learning and formal training
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, where colleagues in the automated RSC are encouraged and recognized for generating and implementing innovative ideas
  • Foster an environment that encourage employee engagement and motivates team members to perform at their very best
  • Represent/Participate in strategic and optimization projects both internal and external advisory committees
  • Support as SME on cross-functional projects/initiatives relating to automated warehouse systems
  • Support and coordinate all business audits related to the automated warehouse systems, internal and external to ensure compliance
  • Support and coordinate all IT system upgrades within the automated RSC

Job Requirements

 

 

Your resume and experience will show:

 

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively increasing levels of responsibility in an automated warehouse environment
  • Managing 3PL relationships and Budgets is an asset
  • Undergraduate Degree in a related field (i.e., Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Technology)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills 
  • Bilingual both written and spoken is an asset
