Overview

Are you looking for an opportunity to lead a team responsible for partnering with the Business to foster a deep understanding of their needs and work with IT Centres of Excellence and IT Product Owners to facilitate solutions? We have an exciting opportunity as a Manager, Business Analysts in our Information Technology team in Mississauga, Ontario.

Job Description

 

As the Manager, Business Analysts with Sobeys, you will:

  • Organize and allocate work across the team to ensure appropriate support for incoming discovery and ongoing enhancement and project delivery work.
  • Conduct development planning, coaching and training for the team to ensure a consistent standard of deliverables.
  • Accountable for hiring quality candidates and consultants to meet our needs and standards
  • Define a standard for business analyst deliverables in line with the IT delivery and discovery Methodologies.
  • Establish a standard for capturing or refreshing business capabilities and current process (where they are not currently documented) within accepted tool sets (ARIS).
  • Construct a process for migrating captured business requirements into business test cases that the Business Architects will execute.
  • Enable the team in following the intake processes for projects and enhancements to ensure constant flow of work to the product teams.
  • Communicate clearly across the functions on progress of work packages.
  • Resolve impediments for delivery and escalate where resolution is not timely.
  • Set and measure the team on KPIs with regular feedback and opportunities for improvements.
  • Ensure Business Analysts working with Product and Centre of Excellence teams provide a high level of work product to facilitate delivery to the designs.
Job Requirements

 

Your experience and resume will show us:

  • Minimum 3+ years of management experience in a retail IT environment. 
  • An Undergraduate degree in Business Management, Technology or equivalent experience. 
  • Experience as a business analyst or leading a team of business analysts.
  • Facilitation, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of business analysis, process and capability documentation methodologies and tools.
