We’re looking for a Lead Application Developer to help build and enhance AI-driven applications on the Atlas platform. In this role, you’ll work across emerging technologies like LLMs and machine learning while supporting the entire development lifecycle, from architecture and coding to testing and data engineering.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
AI & Solution Design
- Develop the ability to design and implement cutting-edge AI-driven use cases to transform business processes and drive accelerating business impact
- Learn to wield the latest LLMs, Agentic, ML models to solve concrete business problems
- Identify functional and technical solutions to meet requirements
- Translate user requirements into solution design for development and implementation of business technology solutions
- Provide expert knowledge of Atlas architecture and can discuss how the solution’s specific features, characteristics, functionality and design will meet business requirements
Development Lifecycle & Quality
- Ensure the development of detailed functional, technical and operational specifications for delivery of recommended solutions
- Conduct design and code reviews to ensure the solution delivered conforms to IT and team standards and quality software delivery practices
- Provide accurate estimates from analysis and design specifications for yourself and other team members to work on
- Ensure all documentation is created, up to date and correct before solutions or changes are implemented into production
- Code, test, and analyze software programs and applications. This includes researching, documenting, and modifying software and specifications throughout the system development life cycle
- Analyze and amend software to correct errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required
- Determine the most effective program/configuration solution from technical specifications provided by an experienced developer or business analyst
- Create unit test plans with detailed test cases
- Consistently write and test solutions without errors, to estimate and conforming to best practice
- Assist in the preparation and documentation of program specifications
- Implement pull, change requests following defined processes and standards
Technical Operations & Collaboration
- Capture and define technical and operational requirements for solutions
- Ensure management is informed of progress, status and issues of delivery team activities
- Resolve problems with little supervision
- Develop or support software application solutions in a project team/task-based environment
- Provide Tier 2 production support of cloud applications
- Provide user, operational and system documentation for implementation
- Assist senior developers and business analysts in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and systems
- With assistance, provide estimates for all aspects of work and work to deadline
Data & Ontology Engineering
- Build data products/ontology/pipelines following data engineering best practices to satisfy those requirements
- Build solutions following data quality best practices – authoring automated checks for primary keys, expected values, etc.
- Perform data analysis and profiling to ensure correctness in data aggregation and visualization
What you have to offer:
- An undergraduate degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of software development techniques such as unit testing, object-oriented design, and collaborative processes
- Experience in TypeScript or JavaScript, and Python/PySpark
- Experience developing applications using containers or serverless functions
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience building automated testing frameworks
- Experience with collaborative software development in a team-based environment
- Familiarity with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, including platforms like SAP and Salesforce
- Conceptual understanding of distributed compute (Hadoop, Spark — driver, executors, partitions)
- Flexibility and adaptability to learn and adopt new technologies
- Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies
- Strong prioritization skills with the ability to execute in a dynamic environment
