Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Financial Analyst, Merchandising to join our Finance team based out of our office in Mississauga, Ontario.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • Provide financial analysis and business decision support to the Manager Finance, Merchandising Analytics
  • Perform moderately complex analysis for mid to long-term strategic Merchandising initiatives
  • Put forward suggestions to improve functional areas processes
  • Provide excellent level of customer service to all levels of the business
  • Assist in development of performance analysis
  • Prepare various ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Prepare various analytical reports
  • Communicate effectively with finance managers and employees
  • Analyze capital investment opportunities as required
  • Maintain various reporting requirements
  • Develop and manage various reports including SAP, SAS, Longview/Khalix, and SAPBW
  • Complete special projects as assigned

What you have to offer:

  • Proficient in GAAP/IFRS
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Business
  • 1-2 years working experience in accounting or related field
  • Working towards accounting designation (CPA)
  • Previous experience working with Category Management or Retail stores
  • Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP, Longview/Khalix, SAPBW, and other ad-hoc systems
