Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Financial Analyst, Merchandising to join our Finance team based out of our office in Mississauga, Ontario.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Provide financial analysis and business decision support to the Manager Finance, Merchandising Analytics
- Perform moderately complex analysis for mid to long-term strategic Merchandising initiatives
- Put forward suggestions to improve functional areas processes
- Provide excellent level of customer service to all levels of the business
- Assist in development of performance analysis
- Prepare various ad-hoc reporting requests
- Prepare various analytical reports
- Communicate effectively with finance managers and employees
- Analyze capital investment opportunities as required
- Maintain various reporting requirements
- Develop and manage various reports including SAP, SAS, Longview/Khalix, and SAPBW
- Complete special projects as assigned
What you have to offer:
- Proficient in GAAP/IFRS
- University Degree or College Diploma in Business
- 1-2 years working experience in accounting or related field
- Working towards accounting designation (CPA)
- Previous experience working with Category Management or Retail stores
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite
- SAP, Longview/Khalix, SAPBW, and other ad-hoc systems
