Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have an opportunity for a full time Financial Analyst, Marketing to join our Finance department based out of our office in Mississauga, ON.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
• Responsible for analysis, billing review and reconciliation of Marketing and Retail Media activities to ensure the integrity of reports, budgets, and forecasts with regards to Marketing spend
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve performance measurement tools and reporting to further meet the needs of the business.
• Responsible for timely completion and submission of annual Budgets and monthly Forecasting within prescribed deadlines
• Responsible for preparation and timely submission of accruals for period close process
• Prepare monthly reporting, variance analysis and commentary vs. budget and forecasts.
• Work closely with Marketing to improve accuracy of budgets and forecasts and ensure business accountability.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, Sobeys Accounting Standards & policies and CEO/CFO Certification requirements.
• Various ad-hoc analysis and requests for reporting and reporting tools
What you have to offer:
• An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant finance or accounting experience or a Diploma and a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
• Accounting designation or working towards one
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel experience
• Working knowledge with SAP or similar accounting software, preferred
