We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our Discount Merchandising Finance team. This position is based out of our office in Mississauga, ON in a hybrid capacity.
 

Job Description

The Financial Analyst Merchandising will provide financial analysis and business decision support to the Discount Merchandising Leadership.

 

In this fast-paced role you will:
•    Serve as business partner for Discount Merchandising
•    Provide excellent level of customer service to all levels of the business
•    Translate results and data into recommendations; provide accurate and timely recommendations to management for decision making purposes by analyzing current and past trends of financials and KPI’s.
•    Assist in the development of business cases; build financial models to support business cases including revenue projections, profit calculations and scenario analyses
•    Partners with Discount Merchandising Leadership in the development of sales and margin budgeting and weekly and quarterly forecasting
•    Develops key financial insights through ad-hoc reporting and analyses to help drive business performance
•    Communicate effectively with Finance managers and employees
•    Work with the Business Process Optimization (continuous improvement) teams to identify opportunities and create efficiencies
•    Develop and manage various reports including SAP, CFIN, and SAPBW
•    Special projects as assigned
 

Job Requirements

What your resume will demonstrate:
•    An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
•    Analytical, detail oriented and  solution based; advanced in Excel, and working with large transactions of data
•    Independently solves problems, takes action, controls own work, and makes work-related decisions within established guidelines
•    Takes initiative and demonstrates a strong desire to reach challenging goals and pursue excellence
•    Proficient in Retail Math and Accounting
•    SAP, CFIN, SAPBW experience an asset
•   Tech Savvy
