Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have an opportunity for a full time Financial Analyst, Marketing (bilingual) to join our Finance department based out of our office in Mississauga, ON. 

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

  • Participate in the reporting process and ensure the integrity of reports in various systems with regards to Marketing spend
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve performance measurement tools and reporting to further meet the needs of the business and oversee their development
  • Responsible for timely completion and submission of annual Budgets and monthly Forecasting within prescribed deadlines
  • Responsible for preparation and timely submission of accruals for period close process
  • Prepare monthly reporting, variance analysis and commentary vs. budget and forecasts  
  • Work closely with Marketing to improve accuracy of budgets and forecasts and ensure business accountability 
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, Sobeys Accounting Standards & policies and CEO/CFO Certification requirements
  • Various ad-hoc analysis and requests for reporting and reporting tools

What you have to offer:

  • An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant finance or accounting experience or a Diploma and a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
  • Must be bilingual (French-English). The candidate will be expected to work with peers in other provinces in the expansion, development and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada. Percentage of language in role: English: 35% / French: 65%
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel experience 
  • Working knowledge with SAP or similar accounting software, preferred
