We are looking for a Director Retail Media Sales to join our Retail Media Network team, where you will drive revenue growth by managing relationships with advertiser leadership and community influencers. You will oversee a team of Account Executives (AEs), setting annual media plans and revenue goals, while establishing best practices for data-driven sales.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Meet and consult periodically with advertiser leadership (e.g., brand marketing or sales in conjunction with merch team) and maintain relationships / attend events with leaders in the community (e.g., IAB Canada representatives, heads of large agencies)
- Establish best practices that ensure insights-first and data-based selling and communication with clients
- Manage strategic relationships with internal stakeholders who enable execution (e.g., weekly connects with Merchandising & sourcing, Planners, Ad Ops)
- Lead sales team of AEs, overseeing development of materials and pitches to secure annual commitments and ongoing campaigns
- Set annual media plans and revenue/profit goals for the team and each account (incl. upsell to existing accounts)
- Create communications for new sales opportunities (e.g., new ad placements)
- Oversee annual commitment conversations with account executives
- Establish sales pipeline and track progress against pipeline, especially for advertisers new to RMN
What you have to offer:
- 10+ years of experience in fast-paced, analytical, client-facing role, and management experience
- Have an advanced knowledge of digital advertising, media and/or publishing (CPG background is a plus)
- Ability to produce meaningful insights, counsel, and planning for advertisers’ business objectives
- Strong track record of successful collaboration across internal and external teams, with the purpose of achieving client or internal business goals
