We’re looking for an HR Director who builds meaningful cross-functional partnerships and fosters a high-performance, inclusive workplace. In this role, you'll support both our Voila operations and Central Kitchens Commissary business, helping shape the future of HR across two evolving and highly collaborative environments.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Drive the creation and maintenance of a culture of high performance and accountability, supported by ongoing development of management capability within your area of responsibility
- Lead positive employee relations initiatives proactively, and monitor engagement and labor relations to ensure alignment with company policies and culture
- Provide professional guidance to direct reports and operations leaders on matters such as collective agreement administration, employment law, labor law, human rights, and conflict resolution
- Serve as the HR lead on the management team for both Voila and Central Kitchens Commissary
- Support the development and execution of an integrated workforce and succession plan that builds a strong talent pipeline aligned with operational needs
- Promote consistent and equitable use of HR systems, tools, and processes, including recruitment, onboarding, leadership development, performance management, DE&I, engagement, compensation, and corrective counseling
- Champion a positive work environment through strong collaboration between operations leadership, management, and front-line employees
- Act as a Positive Employee Relations Specialist, fostering a high-trust, inclusive culture through open communication, proactive conflict management, and initiatives that help employees feel valued and engaged
What you have to offer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or strategic HR leadership role
- Experience as an HR Generalist supporting a multi-location, unionized and non-unionized workforce - ideally in retail, distribution, or e-commerce environments
- Strong working knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and collective agreement administration
- Proven success in managing employee relations, performance management, and organizational change initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to coach and influence leaders, foster engagement, and support cross-functional collaboration
- Experience developing and executing workforce planning and succession strategies
- Flexibility to travel as needed based on business requirements
