Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst - DXP. This role can be based out of one our main offices including: Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON.
 

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

 

As an Business Systems Analyst - DXP with Sobeys, you will:

 

  • Requirements Gathering: Partner with Business Analyst to understand captured business requirements, scope, problem (what are we trying to solve) and objective.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between Business Analyst and technical teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Plan and facilitate solution requirements gathering sessions by identifying the right IT solutions teams and documenting the requirements.
  • Refine user stories with technical details.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, project managers, and UX/UI designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Understand how the solution will impact architecture. Identify if there is another project that will have impacts. 
  • Solution Validation: Ensure that solutions meet business needs and technical specifications through thorough testing and validation, including integration testing with other systems.
  • System Design & Architecture: Collaborate with technical teams to design, document, and validate the architecture of systems to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Work with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, ensuring that business requirements are met from both a functional and technical perspective.
  • Data Integration: Assist in the design and integration of business systems with other enterprise applications (e.g., CRM, ERP) to ensure seamless data flow and consistency across platforms.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Facilitate UAT & SIT sessions with stakeholders & business analyst to validate that the delivered solutions meet their expectations.
  • Communicate solution in a non-technical way to business stakeholders to ensure understanding and alignment prior to design.

  • AEM Knowledge: Strong understanding of Adobe AEM modules, function/features and how they integrate.
  • Business & Systems Analysis Skills: Proficiency in business analysis techniques, including process mapping, use case modeling, and requirements elicitation. Ability to map business processes to technical workflows and design specifications.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with web technologies, databases, APIs, and cloud services, and their integration with business systems. Strong understanding of system integration points, data flow, and dependencies.
  • System Testing & Validation: Experience in technical testing (e.g., unit testing, system integration testing) to ensure the solution meets both business and technical requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement, including the ability to translate complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Facilitation and organization skills. 
  • Stakeholder management.  
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Understanding of ITIL practices. 
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within an AEM environment.
  • Certifications: Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP) is preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
