Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for passionate new talent to join our team!  We are currently looking for an Assistant Sourcing Manager for a 1-year contract.  This is a hybrid role and there is an in-office requirement of 3 days a week.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

Support Sourcing manager for respective categories

Financial:

Accountable for maintenance of pricing functionality based on current guidelines.

  • Quotas maintenance 
  • Wholesales pricing conditions
  • Send and release RFQs

SAP maintenance:

  • Creation of new listing
  • Ensuring SKU’s and vendors are listed/delisted according to direction
  • Articles maintenance - Country of origin - Manage order guide - Articles resolution

Validate regular prices in SAP (from Cost perspective)

  • Supplier creation
  • Salesforce maintenance for stores

Reporting:

  • Tracking KPI: Creation and maintenance of reports
  • Suppliers and articles performances
  • Validate listings and action discrepancies

Vacation replacement:

  • Can act as a backfill for Sourcing manager when absent

Personal Development

  • Engage and maintain interest in personal growth and/or career development

 

What you have to offer:

  • An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a DEC and a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of principles of negotiation, demand forecasting and inventory planning
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel (intermediate)
  • Fresh or Grocery experience (as applicable)
  • Maintain SAP pricing schema
