Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have an opening for a Promotions Analyst in our National Cost and Promotions Team. In this full-time role, you will collaborate with various cross-functional teams including category management, replenishment, pricing, operations, and others to support execution of promotional activity.

 

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

 

  • Create/maintain planned promotions by the category merchants in both SAP and CMA
  • Create/maintain planned marketing offers.
  • Perform validations to ensure accuracy of execution of promotional offers, from various source of data inputs.
  • Perform flyer check to ensure accuracy of promotional retails and promotional offers.
  • Identify variances and liaise with the category merchant teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Align with the planning calendar on key milestones which support the promo planning process.
  • Resolve store issues and concerns related to promo execution.
  • Collaborate with Data Services to resolve issues impacting promotion execution.
  • Support Project initiatives that impact promo execution
  • Work closely with Category Managers, Marketing, and other cross functional teams to ensure accuracy of promo execution.
  • Facilitate ad hoc requests to ensured planned promotions are executed accurately.

What you have to offer:

 

  • Post Secondary Education and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Excel and MS Outlook
  • Experience in the retail grocery business preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess deep knowledge of grocery merchandising promotions strategies and supporting analytics.
  • Ability to understand and maintain multiple retail strategies across banners to ensure promotional accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with leadership, category management and other cross functional teams as required.
  • Ability to work effectively under time-compressed situations.
  • Ability to set and communicate promotional expectation to ensure accuracy for our stores and customers.
